Join us for a scenic walk along the Wandle Trail - connecting London to the Green Belt. The Wandle is an internationally rare urban chalk stream and was once considered the "hardest working river" in the world because of the number of industrial mills along its length. It forms an important Green Corridor in south west London and inspires a network of local community groups who look after and protect it for the future.
Meeting point is 5-10 minutes walk from Wandsworth Town station at Junction of Wandle Trail and Thames Path https://w3w.co/giving.hardly.medium
The full walk is 12.5 miles and ends at around 4pm in Wandle Park, Croydon (there are two Wandle Parks!). This is near the tram stop or 10-15min walk from West or East Croydon Stations. There will be two peeling off points for those that would like a shorter walk:
Morden Hall Park – 5min walk from Morden underground – c.6 miles, finish around 12.45pm
Carshalton - 5min walk from Carshalton station – c.10 miles, finish around 2.15pm
We look forward to seeing you there!
