Enfield's Green Belt and the housing crisis: Why 6,000 Enfield residents are fighting back

Join us for our free lunchtime webinar 12:30 to 1:30 on Thursday 27 February

There is plenty of brownfield land in Enfield. There is no need to build on Green Belt. In any event, doing so cannot solve Enfield’s housing crisis: just building homes will not address the real problem facing Enfield residents – affordability.

And yet the council continues to pursue plans to enable housebuilders to build over beautiful, historic Green Belt landscapes with low density, car-dependent, unaffordable housing.

Join us to hear from local campaigners about how nearly 6,000 Enfield residents, who made over 15,000 representations to the Local Plan consultations – are fighting against Green Belt development and FOR development of housing which genuinely meet local needs, and is built on brownfield land. With:

• Alice Roberts, CPRE London

• Carol Fisk, Enfield RoadWatch

• Andrew Lack, The Enfield Society
